Slalom Dribbling

This is a competitive drill that gives the players the opportunity to practice dribbling and lay-ups at a high pace.  Place three cones in each ½ court as shown in the diagram.

Ball-handling-"Tennis Ball Chase"

Here is another great, fun ball-handling drill from Ganon Baker. You need 6-12 tennis balls, in an open top container, to do this drill. The emphasis is on keeping the head up while dribbling and changing direction or maneuvering the dribble.



Dribbling-Mini Inside-Outs

The ability to manipulate the basketball when dribbling, by moving the hand, lays the foundation for a number of dribble moves.  Inside-outs, crossover dribbles, behind the backs and spin dribbles are examples of dribble moves where the ball is controlled by the subtle movement of the hand.
